The deep blue Lake Thun lies in the middle of the imposing mountain world of the Bernese Oberland with a view of the famous mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. It is 17.5 km long and up to 3.5 km wide. Its surface area is 47.85 km².
Romantic lakeside villages lie on the shore and can be easily reached by boat. There are five historic castles to discover around the lake.
